May Day strike!
Today we strike — no work, no school, no shopping — in celebration of workers worldwide, and in memory of the brave workers who fought and died at Haymarket Square in 1886 for the eight-hour workday. “Eight hours for work, eight hours for rest, and hours eight for what we will.”

I wonder how many people can afford not to work, given low wages and threats of firing by bosses/managers if they don't work? Would a mass "sick out" even be viable?
Not buying anything can work, although for many, grocery shopping is often done on a Friday.
