It wasn’t enough that DOGE cut almost $7 billion from staff and programs at the US Department of Agriculture, leaving children hungry in the U.S. and abroad and further stressing American farmers already hit hard by Trump’s tariffs.
Now a huge banner of the Supreme Leader’s face hangs on the front of the USDA building. Lincoln flanks him on the other side. Communications director Seth W. Christensen told the Washington Post the banner will be there “for the coming months,” to commemorate the department’s 163rd birthday.
Because 163 is such an auspicious number.

But also some good news: Trump’s Big Beautiful Birthday parade was a bust. Rubio yawned, Melania fell asleep. The crowd never showed up. Those who did couldn’t hear the speeches.
